Signs of Dyslexia
|
|
|
Signs of dyslexia appear during the preschool years.
By kindergarten and first grade, the signs are clearly there...if you look for them.
Do not listen to all of the excuses you will hear.
Take action early. If you do not, things will only get worse for your child.
Thank you, Decoding Dyslexia Iowa, for turning my complete warning sign list into a series of graphics.

Homework wars
Children with dyslexia cannot do homework independently.
Parents spend 2 to 5 hours a night forcing their child to do the assignments – through tears, yelling, threats, meltdowns, etc.
To stop the homework wars, and cut homework time in half, provide these 3 homework accommodations starting tonight. Don't ask for permission. Just do them.
Then your child will have time to develop his or her gifted areas.

I love this graphic.
It is so important to share what you are proud of with your kids who have dyslexia. Do that every day.
